Happy Easter

This is not my Easter post.

Kate woke up pretty sick on Saturday for a ward breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt.  I managed to pass off all of my responsibilities (almost unheard of) just in case she woke up sicker on Sunday (which she did).

I took all three kids to the dr's to see if Kate had an ear infection because of the slight fever and the fact that she's been waking up a few times at night.  No infection.

I filled Easter baskets.  They were a hit and contained almost no candy.

I didn't dress my kids up in their super cute Easter Outfits because we didn't go to church.

I brought them up to my mom's and we did a little Easter Egg hunt and colored eggs.

Hyrum had a small issue later in the day and we were all convinced he had a UTI.  So he and I went to a kids instacare tonight.  No infection.

When we got in the car to drive to the dr's my van wouldn't start.  I had left the keys in it when we got there a few hours earlier and the battery had drained.

If any one is counting, that's all three kids in the dr's in 6 days.  And, the only one on an antibiotic is the one that I thought was healthy and just in for a well child check.

Justin has been traveling for a good 24 hours and finally made it to Kyrgyzstan.  I don't know where it is either.

I've pretty much gotten through these last 5 weeks because it felt like an extended work trip for Justin.  It doesn't feel like that any more.

I've had a headache all day that won't go away and I haven't really slept much for the week.

I'm going to bed now.  Expect a nice, fun, family filled, spring-y Easter post later this week.

  1. Not that it didn't seem real when he left, but your IG pic of his text about the escort to the airport made me go, he's really doing this, wow, shit just got real. So your thoughts on it not feeling like a business trip anymore make total sense. So sorry you have sick kids and you're not feeling well.
