I'm starting to see a pattern

We went on our first camping trip of the year.

It was a trip with Justin's dad's family, and I'm worried that we're setting a pattern with the Little Man.

Remember this trip to Maui?

Well, we were able to avoid a trip to the ER, but the Little Man took quite a tumble out of the trailer. Unto the pavement. On the SAME spot on his head.

For those of you who actually know us, which is probably most of you reading this, you'll know that the Little Man is very rarely seen without a bruise or new bump on this exact spot. I really don't know how he manages it most of the time. Sometimes I'm even impressed, that he manages to always hit his head in the exact same spot.

He's actually mad that I wouldn't give him the camera.

After some tears and a few band-aids and alcohol wipes we decided you'd live.

Going on a walk with Grandpa Lafeen.

April wanted to catch a pot-gut. And she did. He got away pretty quick though. This one was taken at home after a bath. I guess it's a good thing that the camera doesn't do it justice -if Grandma Hardcastle actually saw his poor little face she'd be pretty upset!
Our next family vacation is scheduled for the middle of July. Keep your fingers crossed we come back without a new bump!

Choking Hazard

Justin has never made it a secret that he's deathly afraid of children choking. Well before the Little Man came around he made that fact known (to anyone and everyone).

So of course, the first time that the Little Man was actually choking, he'd be here without me. He wasn't even home alone, his younger brother was here, but I don't think Bryan was a lot of help.

Luckily, some kind of instinct kicked in, and he did the Heimlich maneuver. Not before the poor kid turned purple and his eyes rolled toward the back of his head.

Kind of glad that I wasn't around to be honest.

Worse than an update

An update that doesn't say much.

It may be the middle of May, but Spring has yet to settle in Utah -we can't seem to get more than a day or two of warm and sunny weather in a row. I think we've only been to the zoo once (or twice).

The Red Sox season has been less than stellar thus far (it's still early though), but we've been able to see a few good games on (like on Mother's Day against the Yankees -always nice to get a win for that match-up).

Buddy and Boston -a great combination!

The Little Man would still prefer to spend all of his time outside, even though we aren't able to very often. We've been on a lot of crisp early evening walks -it feels like fall most of the time.

I'm sure once the warm weather comes around we'll get out and actually DO something that's worth a blog post -but until then... this is what you get.
