3 times

It's hot in my office. And I'm not talking about it getting a little warmer in the afternoon. I'm telling you that we have HOT air POURING from the ceiling into all of our offices. We have the hallway lined with about 4 different, slightly broken, it-doesn't-sit-up-without-leaning-against-a-box type of fans... and we're still all looking for reasons to leave the office after lunch.

But don't worry. We talked to our lovely office manger about this. And today, my supervisor told me that the last time she tried to mention it to her, she turned her back, started to walk away and muttered under her breath, "I've called 3 times already".

Maybe she should try a fourth!

Laila ___ Gough

So... here's the pictures of Laila now that she's 24 hours old. Dustin and Shondel haven't decided on a middle name, but she's sure cute!

I'm an aunt!!!

And, Justin's an uncle.

Justin's sister-in-law gave birth to a baby girl yesterday just before 5pm. 5 lbs 10 oz and 19 in long!!!

We took a picture with Justin's phone, but I couldn't get an email picture to work, so I'll have to post pic's after we visit them again today with a real camera.

A day at the farm

Yesterday Justin and I took his cousins to Wheeler Farm. They LOVED feeding the ducks and looking at all the animals -except the smelly ones.

I think Justin enjoyed himself just as much as the kids, especially getting to climb onto the tractor!

5:45 in the morning

This may not look like torture tool, but it is. This is what I was riding at 5:45 this morning for an hour. And trust me, this is very sophisticated and successful tool of torture.
I can't wait until Thursday morning!

Reel Movies

If any of you know me, you know that I love movies, and I see them often. I've had a blockbuster online membership for a couple of years now, and I used to be one of their worst customers. I'd usually end of getting 14-17 movies a month (not bad for $17 dollars a month) and I'd go to 3 or 4 (or more) movies in the theatre a month too.

Well... I don't see quite as many movies now, but I thought I'd 'review' the ones I do see in the theatre.

Justin and I finally broke down and saw Pirates this last week. Justin liked it. I thought it was a little long but entertaining. I don't know if it's just me, but I'm not sure that Johnny Depp's funky pirate character can still sell a 3 hr movie -don't get me wrong, I loved the 1st, but I think even Depp's getting tired of playing Jack.

On Saturday we went to see Oceans 13! I'm pretty biased when it comes to Ocean's movies... I love them! Any movie that can get Matt, George, Brad, and Casey on the same screen (and dress them up in beautiful suits) has my vote. And my money for a ticket. Very entertaining, I thought it was just a little slow at the beginning, but I actually liked that fact that Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones wasn't in it.

Oh, and by the way Kathy... I have to agree with the dad -the nose does NOT play!

Cap and Gown and all that Jazz -I mean bag pipes

Well... Justin was right. I'm not one that enjoys a lot of pomp and circumstance... and 3+ hour graduations ceremonies, but it was a nice afternoon anyways.

Justin and his mom, Lisa, both received their MBA's from Westminster this weekend (Justin was actually done in December but walked yesterday). There was a pinning ceremony at the college on Thursday (where there was no actual pinning), a lovely brunch Saturday morning, and a L..O..N..G commencement at the E center on Saturday.

It's quite an accomplishment for mother and son to receive graduate degree's, and it was a nice experience for them to do it together.

Congratulations, and I love you!

Gradutation Day!

Well, this is it, all the pomp and circumstance - I love it! Melanie isn't really in to the ceremonies and fluff, but I always say there are far too little ceremonies in life to pass one up. I even have my new bow tie (given by the fair Melanie).

What a sweetheart.
