Jackson Hole 2013

I missed our last annual Hardcastle Jackson Hole trip.  I was busy... having a baby.  So, I was looking forward to going up again.

The drive went better than I expected.  The kids did really good, only the last hour or so was it a bit rough.  In fact, we might have had to stop more for Diet Coke's and adult bathroom breaks than for the little's.

Dinner the first night was at a pizza & philly sandwich place, and because of a couple of pinball and air hockey machines, it ended up being a great place to be.  The games kept the kids entertained why the adults enjoyed dinner.

Milo had a bit of a cold (probably all three of them did) so he and I missed the early morning and and late evening trips into the park to hear the elk bugle.  Plus, it was a lot colder than usual -it snowed every day we were there.  Hyrum went with the family one of the times and had a great time.

We headed into town, which isn't something I've done for a number of years.  It was a bit too cold to try any real hikes with the kids, so hanging out at the candy store and a few souvenir shops had to do.

The house we stayed at was awesome.  (I did a horrible job of taking my own pictures, so I stole a bunch of instagram ones)  It took us a day to just figure out our way around it.  The basement was for the Lafeens, room for me, room with bunkbeds for the kids, and an exercise room for Milo.  It worked out perfect.  It was nice big kitchen for gathering and eating, and making flavored popcorn with Gordon and Jessica's new toy.

Hyrum LOVED the walkie-talkies.  And, he was lucky that his uncles and aunts did too.  We all ended up with handles by the end of the weekend.  Big H (Hyrum), Little Red (Kate), Cattle Grazer (Gordon), Polly Pocket (Jessica), Beef Chief (Big Matt), Tall Doll (Jenny), Fat & Bald (Grandpa Hardcastle) and Mel Bell (Me).  I can't remember Grandma Hardcastles, or if Milo ended up with one.  Hryum has been asking everyone for walkie talkies for his birthday, so I'm pretty sure he'll end up with a set or two next month, and he couldn't be more excited.
