I don't believe you should decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving. No tree, lights, stockings, OR Christmas music.
But... the evening after Thanksgiving dinner is fair game.
I have a small apartment, so it didn't take me long (but it DID take me a couple of days because I was too impatient to wait until I had a couple of straight hours to do it)
Do you have presents under that tree?
